School & Education

Our seamless Early Years to Year 12 school embraces the traditional values, beliefs and culture that are our foundations.

This, accompanied by cutting edge education and a proactive learning approach, educates our students for tomorrow.

The traditional “chalk and talk” approach does not apply at John Paul College.   Our 21st century learners study in an interconnected world which blends cutting edge technology, an environment of academic excellence and a wide range of co-curricular opportunities.

As Queensland’s first ecumenical school, we affirm the individuality of our traditions as envisioned by our Founding Fathers from the local Roman Catholic, Anglican and Uniting parishes.

Today, our community consists of children from many different denominations and religions beyond those original three. We practice acceptance and understanding of families from all faiths and ecumenism prepares our students for life in a world where religious acceptance and mutual respect are essential values for living in a multicultural, multi-faith, international environment.

Our campus is located on 53 hectares in Daisy Hill, near Springwood on the south side of Brisbane and features excellent facilities including state of the art learning spaces, aquatic and sporting centres, modern, air conditioned classrooms, world class sporting ovals, an outside hours child care program and a sustainable, natural environment with a community farm.

With an Early Learning Centre accepting babies from six weeks of age, right through to our specialist Primary, Middle and Senior schools and a thriving International College we would love to welcome you into our family today.

What we Believe

John Paul College is a learning community in which all members have the opportunity to reach their individual potential for living a contributing and fulfilling life. Our community grows in an environment where our values are embraced, where mutual respect demands a hospitality that reaches out and welcomes those of all cultures and faiths, and where excellence in every endeavour is sought and applauded.

We believe our College offers students and staff an environment where Christian values are embraced and mutual respect offers a hand that reaches out and welcomes all cultures and faiths; and where the potential for our students is unlimited.
